Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,

Welcome to Poplar Bluff Middle School, where students in grades 4 through 6 are challenged to grow — academically, socially, and as people. I am proud to lead a school where the true measure of success isn't just what students know, but who they are becoming.

Our staff are committed educators who go above and beyond to ensure every student can succeed. They foster a compassionate, inclusive culture where learning thrives, and they build the kinds of meaningful relationships that encourage students to reach their full potential. Guiding everything we do are two simple but powerful principles: Work hard. Be nice. These core values inspire our students to strive for excellence while treating others with kindness and respect — and you will see them lived out in our hallways every single day.

We are also fortunate to have incredible support from our families and PTO, whose efforts — organizing fundraisers, planning WINGS parties, coordinating student planners, and supporting special events — help create opportunities and experiences that enrich student life. That partnership is an essential part of who we are.

About Our School

Poplar Bluff Middle School serves students in grades 4 through 6, providing a challenging and supportive learning environment at one of the most modern school facilities in the region. A 40,000-square-foot addition to the building brought a state-of-the-art media center, STEM curriculum featuring robotics, computer coding, 3-D printing and virtual reality, and a one-of-a-kind enclosed playground designed with student safety and security in mind.

As a district-wide Professional Learning Community, Middle School staff collaborate daily around student data and best practices to ensure every learner is supported and challenged. Every student has access to a Google Chromebook, and a culture of innovation — powered by technology and makerspaces — helps prepare students for the demands of the 21st century.
